We know you have several questions as you consider your remodeling project. Below, we’ve answered some of the more frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not on this list, please call us today.
How much is my job going to cost?
This depends on the scope of your project, what you want to spend and whether you have a clear idea of what you want. While some projects are easy to price, others are not. It all depends on the scale of your particular project.
What kind of projects do you do?
We are a full service remodeling company, providing building services for a wide variety of projects from smaller scale to full home remodels.
Do you offer financing?
Although we do not offer financing at this time, we do have contacts we can refer you to in the mortgage and banking industry who can help you with this step.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes! We take Visa and MasterCard.
May I help in the construction process?
Typically, it works best to have our construction crew handle the job, both for liability reasons and to maintain the projected timeline. Homeowners can always be helpful, however, by making their necessary selections in a timely manner and by working with us to ensure streamlined communication.
Do you provide free estimates?
We offer a complimentary initial consultation. Whether or not the estimate is “free” is dependent upon the scope of your project. For example, if you are considering a small job, we can easily tell you the projected cost. If you are considering a larger home remodel, we generally require a design agreement in place before proceeding with a detailed estimate. During the initial consultation, we should be able to determine what it will take for your particular project in order to generate an estimate.
How long will my project take?
How well have you planned for the project? The more prepared you are, the more streamlined the process will be. Other factors include the time of year and the size of your project. In addition, communication is key to staying on schedule. During the initial consultation, we should be able to determine an estimated timeline for your project.
How do you minimize dust in the home?
We all recognize that remodels are a messy process. However, there are key ways to minimize the dust and disturbance to your home. The good news is that when working with Hueller Construction, you will have conscientious tradesmen on your side who are sensitive to minimizing any disturbance to your daily lives.
We can minimize dust with dust barrier walls, carpet protectors and drops. The bottom line is that you want to hire people who understand that this is your home or office and are careful to keep it as clean as possible.
Will a remodel raise the value of my home?
There is an excellent report that can give you a good idea of how a remodel might affect the value of your home. You may contact us for a hard copy of this report.
Does your work come with a warranty?
We stand by our work and if there is an issue, it will be addressed. There is a minimum one year warranty on the work we have provided. When it comes to the materials, that depends on whether the client or contractor bought the materials. If we provided the materials, we can be involved in the process of contacting the manufacturer regarding the company’s warranty on their product.
Do you have any tips on living in my home during a remodel?
Yes: communication is key. Living in your home during a remodel may be challenging, again depending on the scope of your project. By maintaining communication, we should be able to make the remodel process as painless as possible. Here are some key ways to make things easier:
- Together, we will set expectations ahead of time about what's going to happen and when it’s going to happen
- We will have an estimated schedule of activities available
- You can help by being flexible in your home, using alternate routes and access points, or living out of one room while another is worked on
- We keep as clean a work site as possible, picking up as much as we can after each work day
