Oregon Remodelers Association & Hueller Construction, Inc. Make a Wish for Oregon boy
This fall, Kurt Hueller of Hueller Construction, Inc. of Lyons, Ore. joined other tradesman from the Oregon Remodeler Association (ORA) to help grant a wish for Tyler Strasheim, an 8-year-old from Springfield, Ore. Tyler is qualified to receive a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon, because he has Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy.
Tyler’s wish to have a firehouse play structure was granted with the help of volunteers from the ORA and the Springfield Fire Department. The fire truck playhouse, which is wheelchair accessible for Tyler, is designed and built by members of the ORA including Kurt Hueller.
“This is a project I will always remember,” says Hueller. “Using my skills to grant a wish for this young boy was so fulfilling, especially since I am a volunteer firefighter. It was the first time I’ve given back to Make a Wish Foundation, and it will go down in Hueller Construction history as one of my favorite moments. I hope to work with Make A Wish for years to come.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. For more information on Make-A-Wish, visit www.orwish.org or call 800-934-WISH.
